Audition Process

|
It's funny cuz it's TRUE!! Seriously. These people...erm...bugs exist! You would think with the abundance of guitarists in this world that finding just ONE who we can work with, get along with, and agree creatively with would be a relative piece of cake, right? Yeah right... I wish!
Here's hoping that the dude we're working with right now doesn't get scared off. I think he's got the right attitude and the right sound to really make some AWESOME music!! So keep those fingers crossed... =) On a more technical note, the archive is completely overhauled and done now. Please take a look. I spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into it. I think it's finally just about perfect. =) Bug decorder sheet: Panel one: an old hippy roach Panel two: an emo ant Panel three: a heavy metal moth..with an air guitar. No complaints this week about not getting it, ok? |
Possibly the greatest part of this week's comic is the laughs from OUR side. We tried to make it funny for everyone, as it's kinda our jobs to do so, but if you've ever had to audition guitarists before then you KNOW what kind of people come out of the wood work. Sally and I have played with a lot of guitarists in the past 2 years, and I can honestly tell you that we've seen every one of these bugs in some form or another. You'd think it be easy to find someone, neh? Like, everyone and their MOM plays guitar [true in my case], so why can't we find the right one? I will say that we're working with someone who shows promise, at the moment, but he's still got time to prove me wrong. I'm hoping that within the next few weeks we'll have a new char for you guys. ^.~
From the art side... I had a LOT of fun this week! It was really nice to take a break from the world around me [read, our house] and concentrate hard on my work [read, distract myself by keeping busy with tracing]. Here's to another week of spider-y fun and laughter. Cheers. |
