To Get The Fly

To Get The Fly

Wow, where to start and what to say? I guess first off I'd like to say good-bye to Süz. She's gone north, far, far, far away...to pursue dreams in a more academic setting. I wish her all the best and hope she's at least getting a chuckle out of her exit from the comic. =)
As for the first two panels... I have to be totally honest: I really wrestled with how to handle the drumming in the background. Ultimately I decided on going with the truth. If you've ever been in a small, enclosed space with a drummer, then you know that it's ALL you can focus on and just how much effort it takes to comprehend anything else. I tried to capture that deafening feeling in the comic, and I think I did a pretty good job.

But seriously... who's cuter than The Grub in the last panel?? I mean...Come ON!!
It never ceases to amaze me just how much lives can change. A few years ago music was something I took part in for fun and nothing more. A few months ago web comics were only something I read. A few weeks ago my days were for sleeping and my nights for Sims.
...This band I'm in... The one that helped my sis and I to start a web comic... The one that is now all consuming in my life, and nothing held higher... It's brought people into my life I thought I'd never keep company with, and on the whole I've enjoyed the friendly faces. On occassion, though, friends drift apart in different persuits of their dreams. Though a comical farewell, I would like to give a final good bye to Süz as she chases her dreams up north. Best of luck, and may you find nothing but good fortune.

Now! That being said, I am now going to resuming laughing at D's facial expression. ^.^ He really does look like that when he's happy and upside down.
